III. Post-Listening Exercise [Top]
1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write a paragraph describing your extracurricular activities that are relevant to study. View the accompanying Power Point presentation on details of how to write this paragraph.

3. Write four questions beginning with "Where" when asking someone about one's extracurricular activities that are relevant to study, and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Where did Jerry learn how to assume a leading role in planning programs?
Answer: A social service organization that hosted summer youth camps
Example: Where did you decide to hold the university event?
Answer: At the university stadium

4. Ask a person two questions beginning with "Where" about his or her extracurricular activities during university. Write down each question and its one or two sentence reply. You can select from among the following questions from the above listening exercise as models for the questions that you ask: Where did Jerry participate in a social service organization that held summer youth camps?

Where did Jerry acquire the unique leadership opportunity to help youth?
