III. Post-Listening Exercise [Top]
1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write a paragraph describing your extracurricular activities that are relevant to study. View the accompanying Power Point presentation on details of how to write this paragraph.

3. Write four questions beginning with "What" when asking someone about one's extracurricular activities that are relevant to study, and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: What did Betty participate in during university?
Answer: Many extracurricular activities
Example: What extracurricular activity did you enjoy the most during university?
Answer: Volunteering my time with underprivileged children

4. Ask a person two questions beginning with "What" about his or her extracurricular activities during university. Write down each question and its one or two sentence reply. You can select from among the following questions from the above listening exercise as models for the questions that you ask:
What extracurricular activities did Betty participate in during university?
What is a valuable lesson that Betty learned while participating in extracurricular activities during university?
What personal traits did Mary realize that she had by participating in extracurricular activities during university?
What skills did Mary develop while participating in extracurricular activities during university?
