III. Post-Listening Exercise [Top]
1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write the first part of a recommendation letter for advanced study, which includes an: Introduction and your (or your teacher's) qualification for making such a recommendation. View the accompanying Power Point presentation on details of how to write this paragraph.

3. Write four questions in which the person must respond "Yes" or "No" when recommending someone for advanced study, and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Is Professor Chang the chairperson of the Ecology Department at National Tsing Hua University?
Answer: No. He is chairperson of the Finance Department at National Tsing Hua University.
Example: Did you audit Professor Smith's course in Economics?
Answer: Yes, I did.
