2. Listen to the story again as you read the audiotranscript on page 338 of Writing Effective Work Proposals by Ted Knoy.

III. Post-Listening Exercise [Top]
1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write the second part of an abstract for your work or research project by summarizing the anticipated results of the project and its overall contribution to a particular field. View the accompanying two Power Point presentations on details of how to write this assignment.

3. Write four questions in which the respondent must answer with “Yes” or “No” that involve summarizing the anticipated results of a project and its overall contribution to a particular field. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Can Sherry’s learning environment reduce the time required for students to complete a GA assignment?
Answer: Yes
Example: Do the results in your project contribute not only to researchers in the field, but also to industrial managers’ efforts to make their companies globally competitive?
Answer: Yes, they do.
