3. Write four questions beginning with "How" when asking someone about their current knowledge of a field of study and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: How can Taiwan enhance its local competitiveness?
Answer: By adjusting financial market strategies
Example: How has Taiwan's economy evolved from an agricultural-based one to a hi-tech one?

4. Ask a person two questions beginning with "How" about his or her current knowledge of a field of study. Write down each question and its one or two sentence reply. You can select from among the following questions from the above listening exercise as models for the questions that you ask:
